Mr & Mrs Smith’s Mexican adventure
Posted by Anthony on July 8th, 2008
Well, it’s been a hectic month, and there were a few moments of not-quite-panic here at Smith HQ as deadlines loomed, meetings overran, and, well, it started raining a lot, but we’re utterly delighted to bring you our new Mexico collection.
We despatched Smith’s trusty hotel bloodhounds, Mary and Simone, to plunder the jungles of the Costa Alegre for boutique hotel booty, and they didn’t disappoint, sniffing out super-stylish stays in Jalisco and Colima. We’re especially excited to be launching two of the late Sir James Goldsmith’s Mexican pads: the colossal eco-retreat, Cuixmala (which comes complete with its own zebra population), and the equally green hotel Hacienda de San Antonio, (which makes its own mango grappa – potent, to say the least).
You can read Smith Editor-in-Chief, Juliet’s interview with Mary here.
In other news, Smith teamsters Aline and Amber went gallivanting around Greece back in May, and we’ve just introduced two chic retreats in Athens that they found during their visit. Have a look at the sexily minimalist city-spot Fresh Hotel, and the awesomely arty Life Gallery.
PS Our Deputy Ed, Lucy, went on a Middle Eastern mission last month, and we’ll be unveiling the fruits of her labours in early August. Watch this space…
