Inside London #4: It’s a Minimission!

SECRETS FROM OUR INSIDER LONDON ADDRESS BOOK…
If last week’s one day of sunshine got you thinking about summer, then this week’s Minimission party will have you speed-dialling your private jet (or at least logging on to ryanair.com).
Say what? The people behind Ibiza’s ultimate party - Manumission - are here to help raise London’s chilly temperatures with a slice of White Isle-style hedonism on Thursday 12 March.
Tell me more… Minimission is an altogether more chic, intimate event than the mega Ibiza parties, and the party at London’s Studio Valbonne is the first in a series of shows that will also visit Paris and New York.
Expect bucking broncos, dancing girls, a delectable dress code (’Forties, fetish and fiendish’), and even Howard Marks on stage. See, downsizing isn’t all bad!
So, where is it? At Studio Valbonne, 62 Kingly Street (near Carnaby Street), London W1B, from 9pm till 4am.
For ticket details, email info@studiovalbonne.co.uk, or you can buy Minimission tickets online.
Where’s the after party? The Metropolitan (for pre- or post-party cocktails at the Met Bar, plus Nobu nibbles from room service); or Sanderson (left; for soothingly minimalist bedrooms with ceiling-mounted art), Long Bar cocktails and Super Suka snacks); both provide suitably chic overnight dens for night owls.
And then? It’s the perfect opportunity to round up your mates and organise that Ibizan villa holiday.
How about funked-up finca Can Alaya (right) – formerly owned by Saturday-night stars Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb, and now a gorgeous hangout that’s perfect for partying parties of friends (well, if it’s good enough for Kate Moss…) not to mention handy for Amnesia (Manumission’s Balearic bolthole) and Privilege, etc. Hasta la vista, baby!

That poster alone is enough to make me want to go!
