Join Smith – marvellous marketeer wanted

Like boutique hotels? Like what Mr & Mrs Smith do? Like marketing? Like a job?
Mr & Mrs Smith are on the hunt for a full-time marketing executive to join our fast-paced marketing and PR department in London. Our current executive, the sublime Sabine, has been seduced by our Melbourne office, and we need someone to fill her desperately stylish shoes. You’ll be all the usual things, like a ‘great team player’ and a ‘proactive, systems-orientated’ type with ‘organisation skills’ that could build an empire, but you’ll also be the kind of person we won’t mind making tea for.
You’ll take responsibility for managing brand partnerships, developing promotions, and helping us tell the world about our unparalleled boutique hotel collection, reporting to our head of marketing and PR (that’s Aline, that is). The job will involve, well, all sorts of things, among them organising partnerships and promotions, helping formulate our publicity strategy, penning press releases, organising trips, and the inevitable fiddling around with spreadsheets.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with at least three years’ marketing experience. Some PR knowledge would be nice, as would the proverbial eye for detail, creative thinking and the ability to not hang around in corners eating crisps at parties.
The post is available for one year, minimum, and may be extended for longer if a) we like you, b) you like us, and c) we can’t persuade Sabine to come back.
