Founder of the luxury London perfume house Ormonde Jayne, Linda Pilkington was one of the undercover spies we sent on a rigorous hotel-testing mission for the new book; with her nose for style and fascination with scent, it made sense to send her to Bastide Saint Matthieu near Grasse, the legendary perfume production centre in lavender-strewn Provence. Ormonde Jayne scents are made using only top-quality oils and rare essences selected from hand-picked sources to make luxury perfumes, beautifully scented candles, bath and beauty products and bespoke fragrances.

Classic British luxury brand Ettinger has been hand-crafting leather accessories since 1934, and is one of the only British companies still producing pieces manufactured entirely in the UK.
