Following up on our interview with Amanda Wakeley earlier this year (not to mention her chic weekend packing tips post), we’ve delved further into her non-stop fashion life to bring you all the best tips from her international travels.
Here, the OBE-bestowed British fashion designer, brides’ best friend and all-round wonderwoman reveals the most stylish spots in her address book…

HOME
Secrets from Amanda’s London address book:
– I think we are incredibly privileged to have such amazing parks in London. I adore Kensington Gardens (above) early in the morning as the sun is rising, feeling the seasons change and ruminating on the day ahead while giving myself and my labrador Lola some exercise.
– The vintage clothes shop Rellik (right) on Golborne Road in Notting Hill is always a great source of inspiration and amusement; and Portobello Market can still turn up some unexpected treasures (although you have to be luckier now than you used to).
– There are some fabulous food shops on Stratford Road, W8 a great Italian deli and a wonderful organic butcher and one of the best greengrocers in London – so much more inspiring than a supermarket.

AND AWAY…
Secrets from Amanda’s global travel address book:
– When I am shopping in Milan, 10 Corso Como is a must-do; in New York, I go to the Meatpacking District for the shopping, especially to Jeffrey.
– There is a little caviar bar in Paris around the corner from the Georges V called La Maison du Caviar, 1 rue Vernet (+33 (0)1 40 70 06 39). It’s very French, and we love to sit at the bar and eat blinis and caviar and drink fabulous Russian vodka!
– There is a fantastic champagne bar in St Tropez outside La Maison Blanche hotel on the Place des Lices; it always has a great atmosphere and is excellent for people-watching.
– We also love the Illetes Beach restaurant Juan Y Andrea on Formentera (below). You sit with your feet in powder-white sand eating the freshest of fish, washed down with gallons of rosé… It’s always difficult to remember where the day went afterwards!
