Love is in the hair

November’s just around the corner, which means that the charitable moustachioed types over at Movember are swinging into action again. If you’ve never encountered their unique method of combining fundraising with facial-hair growth, now’s your chance.
Movember is a globe-spanning annual initiative dedicated to raising money for men’s health charities, particularly in relation to prostate cancer. Throughout next month, thousands of men around the world (hereafter referred to as Mo Bros) will be growing sponsored ’taches (or ‘mos’ as the Aussies have it) to help amass funds, aided and abetted by their Mo Sistas. So, if any Mr Smiths out there fancy raising money for a good cause while experimenting with facial adornment, head over to movember.co.uk to register or donate.
Last year, more than 45,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas took part around the world, raising £5m. This year, Smith is thrilled to support Movember in changing the face of men’s health, one follicle at a time, which is why we’re offering one lucky Mo Bro/Sista and their partner the chance to win a weekend at the wonderful Tuddenham Mill in Suffolk, as well as the opportunity to tell the tale of their stay on this very blog. To enter, visit our Movember competition page.
While we’re on the topic of male grooming, what better excuse to hit you with our top five spa hotels for manly pampering? Spas are often seen as Mrs Smith’s exclusive realm, but sometimes Mr Smith needs a little indulgence too, whether it’s a massage, a wet shave, or invigorating facial. Here are five UK hotels that put the ‘man’ in manicure:
