The Brew House: hotel of the week

Don’t worry: you haven’t missed Mother’s Day… yet. But the mum in your life deserves better than a bunch of cheap chocs from the shop up the road, so don’t let her down. ‘If flowers and chocolates are out’, you might cry, ‘what do I get her?!’ Whisk her away to a chic boutique hotel in Kent; you can thank us later.

Setting Pantiles-handy Warwick Park

Why this week? Sunday 18 March is Mother’s Day in the UK, and we’re here to help you celebrate in style: extend your stay at the Brew House Hotel with two nights for the price of one so you can spend more time shopping on the Georgian Pantiles colonnade.

Our favourite bits The bar is hip and the restaurant sleek, but the high-tech ensuite bathrooms are just as worthy of an admiring look. If Mr Smith prefers to preen in privacy but Mrs Smith’s an exfoliating exhibitionist, just flip a switch and the entire glass wall goes from clear to frosted (below).

Mr & Mrs Smith say… ‘Set in the heart of the town centre on Warwick Park, the main building is a beauty – even when compared to the other stunners in the vicinity. In terms of decor, the Brew House has High-tech bathrooms at the Brew House Hotel in Kentmanaged to pull off that trickiest of skills – contemporary design using stark colours, yet still managing to fuse the room with warmth. The black glass furniture might have made the room severe, but cleverly, they’ve added touches such as warm champagne, silver and white fabric blinds and a black silk bedspread with a gold underside. It’s the kind of room you’d like to spend a lot of time in.’ Read more about the Brew House Hotel in Warwick Park, or find more hotels in Kent.

You say… ‘Our third stay here and once again exceptional. We really love this hotel. The staff are all so friendly and helpful all round. Great cocktails and food in One Restaurant. We will definitely come back again. Well recommended.’ (Kevin, SilverSmith, stayed February 2012)

We stopped for a meal at this delightful hotel on our way back from a trip to Sissinghurst Castle. I’m not sure which I enjoyed more the extraordinary gardens at Sissinghurst, that reveal new pleasures with each visit, or the wonderful food at this very friendly and efficient hotel. Next time we stop by at my favourite British garden I think we will do it in style and book a night at The Brew House!

Come to think of it while I’m raving about Sissinghurst if you do stay at The Brew House it is well worth also making the effort to visit Scotney Castle which is only down the road at Lamberhurst. It is a 14th century moated medieval castle so just perfect to combine with a romatic weekend.
