Cowley Manor hotel in the CotswoldsWhy this week? From May 3 to September 30, guests will be able to peruse the eight sculptures that are in the running to win the Coutts Cowley Manor Arts Award. Each one has been created by a post-graduate student at the Royal College of Art, and the winning work will become a permanent resident in the manor’s 55-acre grounds. And, you’ll save 15% with our Cowley Manor offer… why not spend your savings on indulgent massages in the stylish spa?

Our favourite bits With cowhide window seats and comical papier-mâché ‘hunting trophies’ hanging from the walls, there’s plenty of cheeky charm on display throughout this otherwise stately country seat.

The spa at Cowley Manor hotel in the CotswoldsMr & Mrs Smith say: ‘The staff are unpretentious; the food is good – the chef wisely serves traditional dishes alongside more contemporary cuisine; and the decor has to be seen to be believed. The most enjoyable moment of our stay was the simple pleasure of sitting out on the terrace with a glass of viognier, just taking in our surroundings. Papier-mâché baboons are fun, lime-green armchairs are eye-catching, but I am just as impressed by what a privilege it is to be one of only a handful of people sharing this majestic property in such a beautiful landscape.’

The billiard room at Cowley Manner hotel in the CotswoldsYou say: ‘I can’t give a more glowing report of Cowley Manor and all they have to offer. We stayed for two nights in a three-floor townhouse, which was decked out in true ’boutique chic’ style. A relaxing soak in the enormous tub with Green & Spring bath oils was a real treat, but that had nothing on the private picnic in the grounds. Get yourself down to Cowley Manor for a luxuriously comfortable spa break in the Cotswolds.’
