Why this week? February is the perfect time for a quick séjour à Paris as the city is ablaze with the new-season buzz in the run up to Fashion Week. Inspired by the contemporary interior at Hôtel de Nell, take a trip to the Centre Pompidou where their new exhibition is set to launch this weekend and runs until early March. Pick a partner (or identify an opponent) for a game of chess at one of the library’s custom-built tables. Book a fifth-floor Prestige Room for plenty of space (by Paris standards, it’s a very big room), a deep Japanese bath tub (with a handy wooden ledge on which to balance your wine/chocolates/macarons) and a balcony from which to watch your temporary neighbours come and go.
