Attention all Stateside Smith bloggees (that’s you that is) – have we got one superb and stylish prize for you. Anyone in the US can enter our Miami For Two competition, in association with Original Penguin, and really should. This is your chance to win two nights in Florida, for two people, and two stylish holiday wardrobes – and you’ve got until the end of September to enter. We’ll pay for your accommodation, throw in $500 towards getting you there; we’ll even give you $1,000 to spend on gorgeous new threads for your SoBe vacation.
Sun, sea and shameless indulgence
Florida’s flashiest city is perfect weekend-away material, blending a heady mix of Floridian, Caribbean and South American influences for a memorable break. There’s the year-round balmy temperatures and beautiful beaches; no shortage of chic restaurants and cafés within easy reach of your Ocean Drive pad, and shopping malls and boutiques to give LA and New York a run for their money. Equally impressive is the nightlife – incredible DJ sets and hip clubs when you’re up for a big night, cocktails on sofas under the stars when you’re not. Let our Miami guide inspire you.
A hip hotel to host you
Our winner will stay for two nights at the Tides South Beach. This classic SoBe hideaway is a sophisticated art deco hotel on Ocean Drive. Interiors by Kelly Wearstler have a colonial feel, with sheeny pale wooden floors, giant white beds, rattan furniture and faux-tiger rugs. The hotel’s Marea restaurant serves Italian food in a romantic setting, and the bar’s martinis are deservedly acclaimed.
A Miami makeover on us…
If you’re heading to South Beach, you’ll want to look the part. Luckily the lovely team at Original Penguin have stumped up $1,000 for a his ‘n’ hers holiday wardrobe shopping spree, either online or in one of six Original Penguin stores – you could even head to their flagship Miami branch while you’re in Florida. Spend your winnings stylishly on classic separates, chic dresses and cool accessories.
Sorry, the competition has since ended, thanks to everyone who participated.
