Calling all curmudgeons: we dare you to step foot in Charleston, take in every painted window shutter, cobblestone street and oak tree dripping with Spanish moss, and try, just try, to resist the wave of charm that will wash over you. If you can manage, then up the ante and hop on a bike. It’s been (pretty much) scientifically proven that cycling around Charleston is guaranteed to induce pure glee.
Graham Kostic of style site Glossed & Found (note: he is not a curmudgeon) recently took to the utterly-charming South Carolina city on two wheels and let us tag along via video. He started at Zero George Street hotel, which offers complimentary bike rental, plus a killer culinary package that’s ideal for post-ride recovery – it includes sparkling wine, chocolate-covered strawberries and a five-course dinner.
