I haven’t really thought of Mallorca as a top destination, because of exactly what you said–package tourism! But now that you’ve presented a slew of gorgeous villas in the island, I may have to rethink this!

  • @Jen I went on some corking (read ‘shocking’) ‘destination on arrival’ hols to Mallorca in my teens and I can’t tell you how much further from those experiences visits in recent years have been! Palma is an incredibly special city with its cobblestoned old quarter and Gothic cathedral… hotels couldn’t be hipper and I’ve had some world-class escapes there with friends… our beloved James & Tam had the most fabulous wedding there a couple of years ago too at Ca’s Xorc. So in fact in many ways it’s the ultimate Smithy destination if you navigate your way wisely!

I completely agree with Juliet, Mallorca is a fabulous island with so much to offer. It has everything from city, mountains to beach with great restaurants, hip hotels and trendy beach clubs.

The property prices are also quite low for the quality you are getting, it is a great place to get an investment, especially in times like these when prices are as low as they can go.

Going to Mallorca in a couple of weeks. Really excited, not staying at any of these places unfortunately. I’ve heard Mallorca’s a great style spot, if you know where to go. 11 days to go!

  • I love Mallorca. It’s a beautiful, restful destination that’s great for families as well as couples.

If you’re planning to hire a car for a trip to Mallorca this year, bear in mind that a lot of suppliers are running low, so check availability in advance.

Mallorca is one of the most lovely places in the world. I love to spend my vacations in Mallorca! Thanks for the information.
