Our second annual Smith Hotel Awards took place last week, celebrating the very best boutique hotels in the world from throughout our global collection. We gathered more than 20,000 of your votes, our expert panel of judges carefully deliberated… and then we partied with more than 700 fabulous friends at South London’s Bankside Vaults. We debuted our Christmas film, too!
First up, massive congratulations to every magnificent winner, all announced from the stage by our original Mr and Mrs Smith, co-founders James and Tamara Lohan. Check out each award’s winner and runners-up on our awards site.
And, a thousand thanks to every single boutique hotel lover who voted; all our marvellous specialist judges; Sipsmith and Fentimans for the delectable cocktails and resulting hangovers; Music Concierge and Norman Jay for keeping us dancing all night; Hannah Lohan and her Fabled Events squad for organising everything; Avis for filling us with gourmet popcorn; Ruark Audio for giving all our winners a supremely stylish radio to take back to their hotel; Designers Guild for lending us a super sexy bed on which to lounge around taking increasingly silly pictures; and Lavazza for fuelling our post-midnight dancefloor adventures.
Here are a few snaps from the night; you can see all the photos in our Facebook album.
